Start: Fly into Martin’s Bay from Milford Sound
Walking first day: 16km 6-7 hrs
Walking second day: 19km, 5-6 hrs
End: Gunn’s Camp, Hollyford Valley
For groups wanting to walk at a more relaxed pace (or with children/slightly less mobile), option to divide Day 1 into 2 days (i.e. 3 day/3 night trip) by staying overnight at Martins Bay Hut on the first night. Cost for extra day is $125 per person

NIGHT 1 - Accommodation & safety meeting at Gunn’s Camp + glow worm spotting
DAY 1 - Walk Distance: approx 16k, Walk Time:approx 6 - 7hrs
Courtesy transport from Gunn’s Camp to Milford Sound to catch our scenic flight to Martins Bay. Walk from landing strip to Long Reef on the West Coast for opportunity to view seals & penguins (weather permitting).
Start journey up the Hollyford Valley via Martins Bay Lodge, lunching on the shores of Lake McKerrow and visit Jamestown [settler’s proposed South Island capital] before enjoying a hearty evening meal and comfortable lodgings at the newly built Hokuri Hut.
DAY 2 - Walk Distance: approx 19k, Walk Time: approx 5 - 6 hours
8.15am Jet Boat along Lake McKerrow and up the Hollyford River to Pyke Lodge. Walk to Lake Alabaster for morning tea at Alabaster Hut. Continue up the Hollyford Valley to Hidden Falls via Little Homer Falls/Saddle. Lunch at Hidden Falls before continuing out to Gunn’s Camp mid to late afternoon.
